PEOPLE - PLACE-PURPOSE-POTENTIAL
Position Summary
The Trademark Paralegal will assist with managing and policing the Clarity and Plantronics international trademark portfolios.
Responsibilities
* Assist with creating and revising trademark and domain name prosecution and enforcement processes
* Collaborate with internal clients within the Marketing Department
* Perform preliminary US trademark clearances
* Prepare and prosecute US trademark applications
* Coordinate with outside counsel on international trademark prosecution and enforcement matters
* Docket trademark prosecution matters and trademark enforcement matters
* Assist with domain name enforcement
* Review marketing materials such as user guides, packaging, etc. for correct trademark use
* Administrative assistance including opening purchase orders and payment of invoices
Desired Qualifications
* AA/AS, or BA/BS and Paralegal certificate (from an ABA-approved program) preferred
* Minimum of two years experience with trademark prosecution in-house or at a law firm
* Experience with trademark docketing software required
* Experience with online brand-enforcement services (Mark Monitor, CSC, etc.) preferred
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* Self-starter and ability to work efficiently with limited direction
* Superior organization skills and high attention to detail
* Proficient in Word and Excel
Minimum Qualifications
* AA/AS degree
* 2 years experience with trademark prosecution in-house or at a law firm
