Temporary Experienced Litigation Paralegal
Our client, a government contractor, in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal for a long term placement. The qualified paralegal must have a paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies, as well as a minimum of 1 year of litigation experience working on large complex, discovery intensive matters. Candidates will be responsible for organizing documents, assisting in document production, assisting in preparing responses to written discovery, reviewing and summarizing depositions and related testimony and exhibits, preparing deposition exhibits, and assisting in all facets of trial preparation.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Duration: 6+ months
• Pay Rate: $24.86 per hour

Requirements:
Paralegal Certificate or degree in paralegal studies
US Citizenship
1 + year of Litigation and Trial Experience
Prior experience assisting with discovery-intensive cases
Ability to handle all aspects of cases including drafting filings, summarizing depositions and managing exhibits
Experience with legal research including blue-booking and case citing required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word required
Prior experience with Concordance or CaseMap, preferred but not required
Background in finance or securities, preferred but not required
