Staff Counsel, Intellectual Property/Patents
The Staff Counsel, Intellectual Property/Patents is responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on a wide range of issues relating to patents and technology related intellectual property, including having responsibility for handling and/or managing outside counsel regarding complex patent/IP related matters.
The individual will be expected to work closely with internal clients and coordinate work with other attorneys within the Office of the General Counsel.
Basic Qualifications: • J. D. degree
• Mechanical or electrical engineering degree/background
• Minimum2 years experience involving patent litigation, and/or technology related intellectual property agreements
• Registered (in good standing) to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
Preferred Qualifications: • Possesses excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational and strategic thinking skills
• Experience in the automotive industry is preferred
