Staff Counsel -- Corporate Affairs
The Staff Counsel- Corporate Affairs will be responsible for providing strategic legal support to Chrysler corporate management, business unit leaders and the Office of General Counsel. Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and actively provide legal counsel and transactional support to the Chrysler Business Development organization. Advise and provide legal support with respect to complex commercial transactions, including the establishment of strategic alliances, joint ventures and asset acquisition and disposition transactions, both domestic and international. Draft and negotiate financing agreements and actively provide legal counsel and transactional support to the Chrysler Treasury organization. Advise and provide legal support on various corporate, finance and commercial matters.
Basic Qualifications: • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic background
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• At least 5 years of progressive professional legal experience, including at least 3 years of substantive experience at a major law firm
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex commercial and financing agreements

• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
• Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational and strategic thinking skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, challenging, global environment.
• Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of concurrent priorities.
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including asset purchase or disposition agreements, joint venture agreements, and manufacturing, purchasing/supply, license and service agreements
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating financing agreements and managing compliance with such, including credit agreements, indentures, letters of credit, guarantees, and escrow agreements.
