As Senior Litigation Counsel at LinkedIn and a member of LinkedIn's Litigation, Competition, and Enforcement team, you will be responsible for managing all kinds of litigation and pre-litigation disputes. You will also handle subpoenas and regulatory responses, oversee eDiscovery on your matters, and provide litigation risk counseling related to LinkedIn business issues. Responsibilities + Manage a global docket of all kinds of litigation and pre-litigation disputes for the company, including privacy and consumer class actions, patent and other IP disputes; individual platform user and customer disputes, employment disputes, and more + Develop the best possible evidentiary record for your cases + Handle subpoenas and regulatory inquiries, and other litigation-adjacent matters + Work to establish internal practices to mitigate litigation risks and ensure effective responses when such risks materialize + Drive good business results by providing practical legal advice on a range of product issues impacted by active or threatened litigation matters + Engage and manage outside counsel and vendors to ensure the delivery of practical, efficient, and expert litigation advice + Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives for the Legal & Public Policy Team, LinkedIn, and the community + Play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIn's mission of connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful by being an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative (and fun!) Legal & Public Policy Team Basic Qualifications + J.D. and admission to the bar or the ability to practice in-house in your office location + 6+ years of combined litigation experience at a law firm, in-house, and/or governmental agencies Preferred Qualifications + Broad litigation experience including discovery, motion practice, oral arguments, trials, drafting compelling briefs, pre-suit activity, offensive litigation, mediation, and settlement negotiations + Experience with class actions and/or patent infringement litigation + Experience and comfort with highly-technical subject matter + Experience working in-house at a technology company or working closely with global technology clients + Comfort with eDiscovery support software and complicated eDiscovery issues + Ability to quickly identify, understand, and resolve legal and business issues + Ability to deliver clear and concise advice and direction + Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams + Excellent judgment, analytical abilities, and impeccable integrity Suggest Skills + Litigation + Legal Writing (motions/briefs) + Settlement Negotiations _LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. _ _The pay range for this role is $152,000 to $237,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
