    Brief Description

    This is a senior leadership role for Noble Energy, Inc.'s office in Israel. The successful candidate will lead Noble's legal team based in Israel supporting the Noble Eastern Mediterranean Business Unit and the Legal Department, working closely with the local leadership team in Israel and Noble management in Houston.

    Detailed Description

    • Lead local legal team (currently three full-time attorneys, one contract attorney and administrative assistant);

    • Be an active member of the company's Israel Business Unit Leadership Team;

    • Partner with the global legal team and head office in Houston;

    • Lead legal work for Eastern Mediterranean Business Unit including in the areas of upstream oil & gas activities, Israeli regulatory matters, midstream and transportation, regional gas sales and marketing including work in Egypt, business development, exploration and procurement;

    • Represent the company with upstream partners and all relevant governmental ministries and departments;

    • Provide functional oversight and coordination of all legal matters. Develop legal policy and implement efficient and effective corporate legal processes and systems in the region;

    • Provide legal advice, manage litigation, and ensure corporate compliance with all local and international laws and regulations;

    • Manage outside counsel engagements, budget and HR matters for local legal team;

    • Support regional compliance activities; and

    • Provide leadership and represent Noble in industry and community affairs.

    Job Requirements

    • LL.B or JD degree;

    • Licensed to practice law and in good standing;

    • 15+ years legal experience as an attorney;

    • Knowledge of oil and gas exploration and production business strongly preferred;

    • Fluent speaking, business and legal reading and writing proficiency in English and Hebrew;

    • Successful working in a matrix organization;

    • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, work ethic and professional achievement;

    • Strong communication skills and ability to contribute positively in a team environment; and

    • Ability to handle substantial work volume and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Details

    • Position located in the Israel Herzliya Office

    • Normal office environment with some regional and international travel

    • Role is a localized position in Israel but relocation assistance may be provided where needed
