At AVEVA, we're all about Limitless possibilities. Are you? Join us as a Senior Legal Counsel (Trade) to manage trade compliance activities and perform investigative work for AVEVA. This will include investigating and monitoring existing processes, implementing robust and efficient controls in the area of trade and export matters where required, and the management of all directly related training. Responsibilities: You will do: • Monitoring existing processes and implementing robust and efficient controls and improvements where required through Trade Compliance Assurance visits and training • Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Procurement, Channel Partner Team and Finance to address process issues and risks • Collaboration with Compliance to oversee operational aspects of the Know Your programs • Drafting and implementation of new processes as needed • Directing effective targeted and all employee training programs • Oversight of day to day and BAU on compliance matters • Producing reports on any ongoing investigations and subsequent remedial actions Skills & Qualifications: You will have: • A law degree and qualified solicitor • 5 or more years work experience as an in-house or transactional attorney with progressive, relevant experience in trade and export matters • Strong working knowledge of trade compliance assurance and investigative background • Experience working with staff at all levels, internal and external stakeholders • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral • Excellent leadership and individual/team development skills • Ability to build rapport and robust relationships AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
