This exciting opportunity is for an IP Transactions Associate who will provide business and legal affairs services to various businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
-Negotiate, draft, and review agreements relative to: Consumer Products, including licensing the IP portfolio internationally for use in a variety of consumer products, merchandise, and home video products -Mobile/Wireless, including licensing content internationally for dissemination to and through consumer end user mobile devices -Publishing, including magazines and books -Providing legal advice to management in developing business strategies and finding creative solutions to complex business and legal issues -Supervising contracts administration functions -Supervising one Paralegal
Requirements:
-7+ years relevant experience, including heavy client contact -JD and active license to practice law -Very detail-oriented -Able to interact well with all levels of employees, generating strong client satisfaction -Able to successfully multi-task and balance competing priorities -Able to work a flexible schedule and handle long hours -International business transactions experience a plus -In-House, entertainment, television and/or publishing industry experience preferred -Licensed, or possessing the ability to summarily become licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut
