We are seeking a Records and Litigation Discovery Technologist who, under the direction of the Records & Litigation Discovery Manager, who will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures directed at the effective and appropriate management of the Company?s records and information under the normal course of business as well as during actual or reasonably anticipated litigation.
Responsibilities
· Provide support and backup for the Company?s Records and Litigation Discovery Manager and Litigation Paralegals.
· Assist Records & Litigation Discovery Manager with the documenting and tracking of Records and Information Management (RIM) policies designed to facilitate effective and efficient handling of business records and other information.
· Perform the forensic collection, storage and tracking of potentially responsive electronically stored information (ESI).
· Under the direction of the Records & Litigation Discovery Manager, provide (as necessary) Discovery and technology consulting services to attorneys, paralegals and support staff, ensuring exemplary, seamless support and verification that all support needs are met.
· Prioritize and execute on multiple cases and projects on a daily basis.
Candidate Specific Tasks
· Review, index and classify records as necessary.
· Identify processes and quality improvements in Discovery preparedness and responses on an ongoing basis to help develop and promote Legal Department Discovery effectiveness.
· Assist Records and Litigation Discovery Manager with the collection of electronic and paper information in litigation matters using, as appropriate, the Company?s Discovery technologies (e.g., Clearwell, Guidance EnCase).
· Monitor and work with discovery service providers to minimize internal and external discovery costs.
· Maintain documentation relating to internal discovery processes, workflow, and support information.
· Stay current with developments in Records Management and Discovery technologies.
· Assist in monitoring the Company?s compliance with Legal Holds.
Travel: While the position will involve work primarily at the Company?s Denver offices, it may also include travel to many of the Company?s locations for Litigation Response and RIM purposes.
Availability: This position will require work on tight, court and counsel-controlled deadlines, where candidate responsiveness is paramount for project success.
The candidate should have the following:
· BS or equivalent degree required.
· Technical proficiency with Discovery collection, processing and review technologies.
· Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and network technologies, including experience with implementing, administering and troubleshooting various operating systems and/or business applications.
· Demonstrated excellence in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external business relationships.
· Ability to achieve project results with sometimes incomplete, ambiguous, or highly sensitive information.
