Position Description
SunAmerica Asset Management is one of the nation's leading producers and distributors of mutual funds and asset management services. We manage and/or administer a family of 28 retail mutual funds as well as a significant portion of the underlying separate account of assets of SunAmerica Retirement Markets and VALIC variable annuities. Our Jersey City location is currently seeking a Paralegal to join our team.
The responsibilities of the investment management paralegal include assisting with preparation of registration statements and other SEC filings; oversight of board meeting preparation process, including coordinating with other departments within the organization, directors, and service providers; assisting with preparation of board materials; organizing and maintaining fund contracts, records, minute books; assisting with oversight of blue sky service provider and with NASD/NYSE filings; and oversight of, or assisting attorneys with, a wide array of other tasks/projects relating to the regulation of mutual funds.
Position Requirements
2+ plus years experience as a paralegal (some investment management experience preferred); ability to work independently and as a team; strong organizational skills a must, including the ability to prioritize and handle numerous responsibilities; detail-oriented person who should possess a professional manner and judgment necessary to enable him/her to work with colleagues in the firm, board members and members of senior management.
