The Legal Department is looking for a Legal Specialist - Witness to join our team here in Tampa, FL. This resource will support the Legal Department with assisting the team and to partner in managing of daily operations. This position includes the monitoring of automated and manual processes to ensure the proper handling of outsourced accounts, as well as the participation in projects / analysis as needed and provide and communicate performance, initiative, and / or process results.
Responsible for serving as a primary representative for telephonic, in person trials and depositions representing Midland Credit Management and all subsidiaries of Encore Capital Group.
This position requires, basic knowledge of county rules of procedure, knowledge of the court filing systems, interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide accurate and confident testimony, representing our Legal Collection practices.
Managing the evaluation of the documents, proof reading, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation as well as escalation and resolution on non-conforming documents to quickly resolve discrepancies with both internal and external legal partners. The ideal candidate will be reviewing affidavits and will be working closely with attorneys and paralegals in our Tampa office.
