Staffing Now has a client looking for a Litigation Motions Scheduler with a minimum of 2 years legal experience. The right candidate will have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, attention to detail and able to multi-task. Responsible for reviewing case for documents and proper scheduling.
Responsible for scheduling and coordinating any and/or all of the following court appearances: Litigation Case Management Hearings, Docket Soundings, Status Conferences and Motions.
Responsible for scheduling and coordinating hearings with Court, Local Counsel, client witnesses, opposing counsel and/or Pro se parties.
Responsible for coordinating and arranging coverage for Incoming Notices of Hearing and reviewing motion as needed with hearings attorney.
Responsible for updating Outlook Hearings Calendars.
Responsible for reviewing and confirming service list, preparing any and all necessary hearing paperwork and correspondence.
Responsible for sending paperwork to local counsel for scheduled hearings. Motions and various required documents (complaint, service returns, hearing results fax sheet).
Responsible for special E-filing as required by Court.
Responsible for cancelling hearings due to attorney direction, client hold request or following up on hold status, client close and bill request.
Responsible for confirmation of scheduled hearings.
Responsible for client reporting: Reporting to various clients regarding the motions scheduled for hearing.
Keep Current on judge requirements for assigned counties.
Responsible for providing coverage for Litigation Department when needed in other areas.
Any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor and/or designee.
