Deputy General Counsel
Summary: Deputy General Counsel for the industry leader in digital investigative software and services, a publicly-traded company headquartered in Pasadena, CA.
Requirements:
---7-10 years of software licensing and technology transactional experience
---Five years experience supporting software sales, marketing and professional services personnel
---Substantial experience working in an in-house legal department is strongly preferred
---Experience in eDiscovery, Intellectual Property, Public Company or Litigation fields preferred
---Admission to the California Bar
The Deputy General Counsel will have primary responsibility for managing the operational contracting function of the company, including the hands-on drafting and negotiation of outbound and inbound software licenses, consulting services agreements, reseller and marketing agreements. This individual will deliver legal guidance to internal client groups and will be required to interact with customer personnel as well. The position will oversee and assist in the management of one staff attorney and two law clerks.
In addition, the Deputy General Counsel be called on to provide guidance on a wide range of business and legal issues, such as export control compliance, technology procurement contracts and licenses, employment, insurance, intellectual property, real estate leases, data privacy matters, eDiscovery related laws and practices and other matters.
Skills Required:
