Corporate Merchandise Planner / NYC
Analytically supports Global Merchandising team through all phases of product life cycle: preseason product line planning, assortment development, margin planning / tracking, and in-season global trend analysis. Partners with merchandising team and global businesses to insure sales and gross margin targets are achieved.
Customers: Primary partner is Global Merchandising
Global sales and trend analytics
Supports future assortment development by analyzing historical sales and by forecasting future assortment volume
Evaluates Global Buys for all Channels; identifies opportunities
Analyzes and summarizes product level sales trends for Senior Management
Recommends global assortment changes based on analysis, product trends, productivity, and profitability
Owns reporting
Global margin forecasting and analysis
Participates in GM forecasting; identifies risks and opportunities
Projects margins, and margin change impact, based on price changes or cost reductions
Technical
Utilizes existing tools to analyze and forecast sales or business trends
