We are seeking a Corporate Business & Contracts Attorney to join our growing Legal Team at our Corporate Offices in Calabasas, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise businesses on a variety of initiatives, large scale projects, and complex contractual relationships
Responsible for the guidance of business leaders through the various stages of the contract process, to include driving planning, collaboration, strategy, cost analysis, metric building, price negotiation, contract negotiation and contract execution
Point of contact as the lead negotiator of critical contracts such as Software and Intellectual Property Licensing Agreements, Internet Agreements, Sales Agreements, Marketing Agreements, Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Supplier Agreements, Outsourcing Agreements, Distribution Agreements
Assist in various business transactions with ability to work closely with business leaders
Negotiate, draft and review a variety of agreements to include, but not be limited to, software, internet, marketing, service, outsourcing, and distribution agreements
Provide legal advice and assistance on various retail related matters as needed
Additional duties as assigned by management
Education and/or Experience:
7+ years experience with top law firm or similar role in-house with established company
Knowledge and understanding of sophisticated contract transactions
Expert level computer skills
Multi-state and International experience a plus
Ability to work in high volume high paced environment
Strong negotiation skills, able to take direction and resolve issues independently
Must be a team player and able to work both collaboratively and independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, exceptional follow up skills and able to meet deadlines
Prefer top tier credentials
Licensed in California
Physical Requirements:
General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to move about an office.
