Construction Estimator (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)
The Construction Estimator is responsible for establishing parametric estimates for new shell TI build out and existing building remodel up to and including building in as-is condition. They will travel to the site evaluate and establish estimates that will be used to negotiate leases and accurate Financial calculations. They will be instrumental in establishing viability of a location and what the challenges will be to implement our prototype program with in the confines of existing buildings limitations.
Primary Responsibilities
Visit a site and perform a survey to establish construction estimates for what it will cost to build out a building by being able to apply prototype drawings to existing building limitations and site conditions
Coordinate with the Design team to establish a scope of work that achieves the desired final product and determine cost of that scope
Continually work with design and other teams throughout the process to maintain the validity of the estimate as the progress and scope evolves to meet the needs of the project
Work with multiple teams to establish value engineering where necessary to work within financial restrictions and the profitability of the deal
Research and understand factors that will influence future construction costs to establish estimates that will project 1-2 years out.
Evaluate maintain and update historical information for use in establishing accurate cost estimates and changing environments
Analyze and interpret and compare detailed and often inadequately defined information and then be able to make reliable conclusions based on their knowledge
Other duties as assigned or developed
Minimum Requirements
This position requires extensive knowledge of construction costs and national variations that effect costs
Practical knowledge across multiple construction disciplines to establish costs for required means and methods and local and national requirements including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire and General Construction
Minimum of 5 years experience divided between both Construction Management and Construction Estimating
Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent in Experience
Good working knowledge of leasing and exhibit language and the ability to provide input during the lease negotiating process
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be proficient in MS office products including Word, Excel and project
