Compliance Officer-Product-11036585Description Primary responsibility is to support the new Global Enterprise Payment business unit and Compliance management to ensure adherence with applicable laws and regulations, and as directed, serve as point-of-interface for the resolution of compliance-related issues with the business. Responsibilities include advising business on applicable regulatory implications for new and existing products, participating in new product development in order to advise of compliance requirements, monitoring and testing various regulatory requirements of the business unit; reviewing procedures; providing guidance and feedback to various levels of management within the business; planning and executing compliance reviews; and project work as assigned by management.
Qualifications Prior work experience in a financial institution or regulatory agency as a compliance, audit or control officer. Applicants will preferably have knowledge or experience in any or all of the following areas: mobile and digital banking, payment processing, transaction services, pre-paid cards, consumer banking.
Jurist Doctor (J.D.) and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) a strong plus. Extensive knowledge of cards, retail banking and lending regulation. General knowledge of the retail consumer business. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence. Proven ability to understand legal and regulatory concepts and convert them into relevant, practical business requirements. Strong ability to build relationships and establish trust and credibility with business management and regulators. General knowledge of emerging regulatory rules, and credit card issues required. Must be organized and able to work independently. Technical skills required: Ability to understand and navigate proprietary systems and applications used for monitoring and reporting.
