Associate General Counsel
The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join its corporate legal department. Reporting directly to CBN's Vice President and General Counsel, this position will provide legal representation, counsel and service to CBN and its related entities. Responsibilities will cover a wide range of legal issues to include general business law, corporate governance, contract drafting, negotiating, compliance, and litigation management.
CBN is a global ministry committed to preparing the nations of the world for the coming of Jesus Christ through mass media. Using television and the Internet, CBN is proclaiming the Good News in over 100 countries and territories, with programs and content translated into 69 languages. CBN is home to over 1000 employees who contribute their skills and talents in a wide-variety of industry-specific roles.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Minimum seven years of corporate/commercial experience
Excellent ability to structure, negotiate, draft and analyze commercial transactions
Strong oral, written and presentation skills
Proven ability in one or more of the following is also desirable: entertainment law, real estate law, tax-exempt organizations, and international law.
Strong litigation management skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to meet challenging deadlines and manage complex projects in a demanding fast paced environment.
Possess excellent business judgment and analytical problem solving skills
A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and current active membership in a state bar
